This journey started in 1966 when Henry Irving opened the Northern California operations of PPS in San Francisco.

Then, in the mid-70’s, brothers Ray and Dan joined their father Henry—making this a family affair. Through this union, a second office opened in Chico in 1984, becoming Professional Practice Sales of Northern California. Collectively, we have appraised and/or sold thousands of practices.

Evolution of our Business

With changes in the marketplace, the business evolved into Professional Practice Sales of the Great West in 2004. This vehicle allows our expertise and honed talents to better serve dentists in the west, with special emphasis on California dental practice transitions.

Both Henry and Dan have since retired, but Ray’s energy and strong passion for this business keeps him active. And the Irving Family Tradition continues today, with Ray’s wife, Edna, being integral to PPS operations.
